Essential by Dorint Stuttgart Airport
The clue is in the name with the new Dorint hotel at Stuttgart Airport: in this themed hotel’s interior design, which was created entirely by APPIA, the subject of flight and air transport runs like a scarlet thread through every room. The reception resembles a check-in counter with constantly up-to-date flight information, and the ceiling of the “Cabin” restaurant is shaped like the inside of an oversized long-haul plane. When guests take their drinks in the “Cargobar”, they sit in what resembles the cut-open fuselage of a transport plane’s cargo hold. The rooms are also designed with the concept of “flight”. Each floor has its own flight-related theme. The corridor carpets are patterned with a runway design. With this interesting themed hotel, APPIA was able to once again demonstrate its versatility in interior design and its skill in first-class realisation of the different types of work.
