Hotel Giardino, Ascona
Hotel Giardino is situated in the middle of Ascona’s residency district, in a quiet park landscape right next to the golf course. In the 20,000 m² garden, one can admire nearly 30,000 plants. In 2009, the old-established hotel wasÂ
completely renovated
true to its original style under the supervision of architect Rolf Balmer. The interior deliberately reflects the colours of the flowers in the garden outside the rooms but also features earthy shades. During the renovation it was possible to incorporate the bath into the room. Flooring made of wood waste lends the hotel a certain country-house character. Therenovation of the rooms and suites
was completed by APPIA Contract GmbH asgeneral contractor for completing the interior.
