The five-star Hotel A-ROSA Sylt is located in List, the northernmost municipality in Germany, directly on the Wadden Sea and surrounded by miles of sandy beaches, dune landscapes and the rugged North Sea coast. With around 200 stylishly furnished rooms and suites, a spacious wellness area (SPA-ROSA), several restaurants and bars as well as a wide range of leisure activities, it is one of the most popular vacation destinations on the island.

Renovation during ongoing operations

Appia was commissioned with the comprehensive renovation of 21 comfort double rooms – while the hotel was still in operation. The team carried out all the work in just four weeks: from dismantling the existing furnishings and laying new floor coverings to painting and furnishing. The new rooms follow a Nordic design concept that deliberately picks up on the natural surroundings of the island.

Large windows offer a view of the impressive coastal landscape of Sylt. Warm, earthy tones create a cozy atmosphere. Surfaces in walnut, linen and natural stone create a harmonious overall look. Indirect lighting emphasizes the calm, relaxing mood of the rooms. The approximately 30 m² rooms have high-quality built-in furniture from the Appia joinery, a cozy recamière, a minibar with integrated coffee station and some have a balcony or terrace. The successful combination of precise craftsmanship and Nordic design make the renovated rooms a place of peace and relaxation.
