APPIA Contract GmbH has redesigned the hotel bar “Le Bar” at Essential by Dorint Basel City. The interior design builds on the popular design of the lobby and adds another design highlight to the hotel.

The goal was to continue the retro and pop art style, thereby creating a harmonious overall look. “Our lobby, with its striking sofa and the LED sign ‘Kisses from Basel,’ is a popular photo spot for our guests and has become an integral part of our hotel,” summarizes General Manager Robert Wiesner. “We wanted a similar eye-catcher for our bar as well.” Color-coordinated fabrics and striking design elements, such as a moss wall or the LED lettering “Le Bar,” echo the existing design concept.

The renovation was carried out by the Appia team within a few weeks while the hotel remained open. The existing interior was completely stripped back, floors and walls were renewed, and the entire FF&E concept was implemented. With around 40 seats, “Le Bar” offers the perfect setting to wind down the day after trade shows, sightseeing, or conferences.
