Work was recently completed on the new “Essential by Dorint” hotel in Interlaken. Appia was responsible for the complete interior design and FF&E execution in close cooperation with the Dorint team and the client. 82 rooms, 10 junior suites, 2 suites, as well as the first floor bar, reception, breakfast room, kitchen and back office areas and other ancillary rooms were realized by Appia. There are also 21 spacious long-stay apartments in the adjoining part of the building. 

A clear, modern interpretation of the concept was designed in line with the motto “Interlaken Rocks!”. With the help of realistic renderings, the hotel architects from Appia were able to precisely work out and visualize the hotel interior in advance. The clients wanted a modern and subtle interpretation of the theme of mountains and water. The combination of different lighting scenarios with various materials creates fascinating spatial moods in a stylish ambience. On the first floor, the public area impresses with its modern open lobby concept with individual open areas that merge seamlessly into one another. The reception desk is an interpretation of stone in cubic forms. Comfortable and modern seating completes the picture.
