For the new DORINT hotel at Stuttgart Airport, the name says it all: the interior design of the themed hotel, which was designed entirely by APPIA, has the theme of aviation and air travel running through every room. The reception resembles a check-in desk with constantly updated flight information, while the ceiling in the ‘Cabin’ restaurant looks like the interior of an oversized long-haul aeroplane. When guests have a drink in the ‘Cargobar’, they feel as if they are sitting in the cut-open fuselage of the cargo hold of a transport aircraft. The rooms also feature the ‘flying’ concept. Each floor has its own aviation theme. The corridor carpets have an airfield design. With this interesting themed hotel, APPIA was once again able to demonstrate its versatility in interior design and its expertise in the first-class execution of the various trades.
