The Hotel Agora Swiss Night by Fassbind is located in the centre of Lausanne, just a few minutes’ walk from the shores of Lake Geneva. Appia was commissioned to support the hotel with the renovation of the interior fittings and furnishings. The project included not only the public areas such as corridors, reception, lounge and breakfast room, but also the redesign of a total of 147 hotel rooms. The aim was to create a contemporary Swiss design that authentically reflects the typical characteristics.

Swiss flair in every corner of the hotel

The Swiss motif runs through all areas of the hotel: from the Swiss cross in the background of the reception area and red accents reminiscent of the Swiss flag to natural colours and elements from nature that capture the Swiss landscape with its mountains, meadows and forests. The diverse animal world has also been integrated into the design of the rooms.

Straightforward design in the breakfast area emphasises the breathtaking surroundings

The breakfast room above the rooftops of Lausanne is a particular highlight. With a breathtaking view of the city, the Alpine panorama and Lake Geneva, the dome-shaped building impresses with its clean lines and colour scheme in shades of brown and blue. The breakfast room’s furnishings create the clarity and tranquillity needed to fully enjoy the unique view.
