The PRIVÀ Alpine Lodge is located in the heart of the picturesque Grisons mountains and just a few metres from the ski slopes. This residence in Lenzerheide embodies an extraordinary chalet resort that reflects the atmosphere of a cosy and luxurious mountain village in a fascinating way.
Appia was commissioned to redesign the restaurant, the conference room and part of the lobby. The range of services included the interior design concept, the FF&E package (furniture, fixtures and equipment) and the execution. The clear brief was to incorporate elements such as reclaimed wood, felt, natural stone and leather to create a connection with the surroundings and an Alpine flair.
By developing a harmonious colour concept and selecting suitable chairs and benches, it was possible to create a cosy yet luxurious atmosphere in the restaurant. This was supported by curtains, decorative cushions and lights. A rather inconspicuous but important element is the acoustically effective wall panelling. This will help to minimise background noise and thus create a holistically designed restaurant area.
The conference room was also fundamentally upgraded with the help of Appia. By incorporating reclaimed wood elements, the room looks inviting and radiates warmth. A practical detail was also included: a sliding wall clad in reclaimed wood makes it possible to separate the integrated kitchen from the rest of the room if required.
The grey-brown-black colour scheme characterises the guest area in the lobby of the PRIVÀ Alpine Lodge. The installed electric steam fireplace forms the centre of the room. Appia was also responsible for the design of the carpet, the lighting and the panelling of the fireplace.
