Appia is currently planning and implementing the refurbishment and redesign of the workspaces for the Bavarian Savings Banks Association in Munich. The plans and renderings have been produced by Appia’s interior design department. At the heart of the project is a refurbishment involving a new connecting structure between the old and new buildings. The listed 19th-century building is being carefully developed and integrated into the overall concept. As a full-service provider, Appia is supporting the project holistically throughout all phases. The result is a working environment based on the clean-desk principle and geared towards a modern, digitally driven way of working. Personal work equipment is stored in lockers, and all workstations are fitted with height-adjustable desks. The aim is to create a tidy and neutral environment at all times, one that supports ergonomic working and fosters an atmosphere in which employees enjoy coming into the office. In addition, various areas are being created to structure and enrich the working day: an entrance area with a redesigned reception and lobby to make a good first impression, the central SVB Café as a meeting place, corridors with lounge areas, conference areas with flexible spaces, kitchenettes and meeting rooms of various sizes. Areas such as executive offices, staff council offices and traditional office units are also being integrated.
